Get Smoke Damage Out Clothes

The trick is to get the odor out of the clothing before you get it wet and to do this the best method is dry cleaning.
Get smoke damage out clothes. You can use either washing detergent or white vinegar or a combination of the two mixed with water. Professional fire restoration companies and dry cleaners will use oxidizers and something called an ozone treatment to break down and remove the smoke odor at the molecular level. In the morning rinse and see if the smell remains. Remove the clothes from the water and wash them as usual with liquid laundry detergent.
Air dry the clothing completely then check for any lingering smoke odor. Visibly smoke damaged clothing should be fully restored after 5 launderings. Place the affected clothing in the water so it s completely submerged. Soak the clothing overnight.
If the clothes are machine washable laundering is the easiest solution. Soaking the clothing in warm water is the best way to get the smoke smell out. Leave them outside for at least 24 hours to let them air out. Allow the clothing to soak for at least eight hours.
Use liquid detergent to return clothes to original state if they are 65 35 polyester cotton blend 50 50 polyester cotton blend or pure cotton.
